Paragon school year 4, Weds 1st Dec 2010
Today's session was more of a weather challenge, as it was freezing. The fire we had made was indeed very helpful as we kept on warming ourselves. The activity was similar to that of last week as we continued with bird box and hazel stick chair making. There was much development in the use of tools as the children did different tasks such as measuring length with tapes and marking with pencils, sawing of planks and sticks, nailing, chiseling and carving of names on planks. The level of team work was great, no doubt at the end of the day, we had made two hazel stick chairs and six bird boxes. There was also some time for frying and eating puffpuff. It was the last paragon session for the year 2010 and it was a good way to end it.
