Written by Edward. The class were working on buildings, angles and walls. So I decided that we class should learn about early building techniques of wattle and daub. We made a cob mix from material in the school grounds, and weaving a wall from bamboo (from the grounds), we built a small wall. The mixing was fun with everyone (eventually) agreeing to mix with their bare feet. Some danced as we mixed the clay, sand and straw on the tarp and in the mixing pit. Great fun.
The first group made time to make butter knives, improving their skill with the tools. All of us cooked puff puff with Marcus around the fire. Finally the Inspector of Schools visited us and seemed to like the work going on.
