Today was fantastic though the weather wasn't the best. We had two groups of eight children. Everyone was happy to do some construction work with clay, constructing the walls of the workshop. Marcus employed some people to be 'chefs'. Everyone wanted to be chef so Marcus devised a competition - asked the children some question about the Bible and those who gave the best answer were employed to be chefs. Construction work and cooking was going on at the same time. We cooked puff-puff, popcorn, and made a cone sweet from burning sugar before it was time for everyone to get back to class. Edward talked about the use of cob throughout Africa, South America and indeed England as a very good means of building structures. Some of the children remembered Felix from Kenya who really did have mud huts where he lived in Eldoret.
